Episode V: Thank You God For...

Lately Keegan has been having some pretty elaborate prayers at the dinner table. What used to be a simple "Thank you God for this food, Amen" has now turned into a checklist of things that he is thankful for. Lunchtime today was especially funny as he began to list all the things that he was thankful for on our table. It went something like this...

Dear God,

Thank you for our day, and for our baby and mommy and daddy and thank you for my yogurt, and noodles and beans and cheetos and milk thank you for our sandwiches with a little bit of meat in it. And thank you for our napkins and spoons and...and...and...

The end.

As he finished his prayer Angela and I could hardly stop laughing and had to remind him that we say "amen" not "the end".

Earlier this morning, while I was back at work and Angie was busy taking care of baby, he discovered a marker and decided to start his career as a tattoo artist. He was proud to show his mommy what he had done, by pointing out that one of his legs had a smily face on it. I'm sure it said Mother below it as well.

Oh man, kids these days. I tell ya.

Thank you God for keeping me laughing.
