Family

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. We all ate too much food and then worked it off on the wii. The kids (and adults) enjoyed making gingerbread houses too.

Pictures from Keegan's Birthday

Here are a few pictures from Keegan's actual birthday. I will try and post some from the party we had this last weekend very soon.

* at school carrying the globe around the "sun" while his class sang their little birthday song.

* no we are not crazy! He specifically asked for a pink baby with a bottle :) He is our little nurturer.

* He earned a patch for his vest at Cubbies. He chose to wear the Mickey ears since it was hat night.

Fabric!

After I dropped Keegan off at school this morning Truitt and I headed to the fabric store. I spent way to much time and money there. I am excited about the stuff I picked up. I was also able to drop my sewing machine off at the repair shop. I can't believe it is going to cost $120 to fix and clean it. There will be an additional charge if parts are required. So, if all goes as planned I should be able to pick it up after Thanksgiving. I may need to borrow a machine until then because I'm not sure I can wait that long. This fabric is sitting here calling my name. Here are a few of the fabrics I picked up. Let me know what you think.

Creative Juices are Flowing!

I am ready to be creative. Well, at least as creative as I get. I have all these great ideas jumping around in my head. I have an urge to head to the fabric store and break out the sewing machine. If only my sewing machine were working. I guess I need to take it into the shop. Hopefully I will be able to post some pics of fabric and finished projects very soon. If I don't post anything in the next week or so ask me.

Growing Up!

My little boy is 4 today! How does the time go so quickly? It seems like just yesterday I was in labor waiting (not so patiently) for my little boy to enter the world. I can still remember most of the details of that long night. At 8:42AM the dr. finally pulled you out of my womb. I was excited to finally see you, but boy was I exhausted. It wasn't exactly the birth I had dreamed about, but I wouldn't change anything. God knew that you would enter the world via c-section. All that matters is that I was blessed with my healthy little boy!!!

I have been blessed with so many wonderful experiences as your Mommy. You never cease to amaze me! You are such a loving, nurturing, cuddly, creative little boy. Just thinking about who God created you to be puts a huge smile on my face. I love to watch as you create new things or explore the wonderful world around us. Your eagerness to absorb all things is contagious. I have learned many things along side you. Thank you for keeping me on my toes. My faith has continued to grow as I pursue God's guidance in how to be the best Mommy I can be. The most rewarding part has been watching you hide God's word in your heart. I love the fact that you enjoy learning about God and that you are able to tell others about Him. It melts my heart when you pray for your brother's (or others) salvation. I know that you will play a special part in making sure that Truitt falls in love with the Savior also.

Keegan I love you and look forward to many more memories with you! Happy 4th Birthday!!!!!

Election Day

Remember to get out and vote! It is very important that everyone excerise their freedom to vote.

I have found myself being very anxious, nervous and worried about the outcome of this election. I am constantly reminding myself that God is in control and He already knows who will win. My friend Jenny posted this on her blog and it is a perfect reminder.

TEN PREDICTIONS NO MATTER WHO WINS THE ELECTION:

1. The Bible will still have all the answers.

2. Prayer will still work.

3. The Holy Spirit will still move.

4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.

5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.

6. There will still be singing of praise to God.

7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.

8. There will still be room at the Cross.

9. Jesus will still love you.

10. Jesus will still save the lost.
