Our Little Book Worm

Keegan loves to read. It is amazing to see how quickly he is picking up the art of reading. I love to watch him read a book and then ask him questions about the story after he has finished. I really didn't think he would comprehend each story he was reading since he has to work at sounding out some of the words still. He never ceases to amaze me. He can tell you all about the story when he is finished. He has said from the beginning of this last school year that all he wanted to do is learn to read so that he could write stories like his daddy. Well, he is on his way. There is a ton of reading going on and he is always writing little stories. Maybe one day I can share one of his little stories with you all. I never dreamed that my 4 year old would be learning to read.

Oh, Angela, I absolutely loved hearing Keegan read!! Isn't that the best sound in the world? He is so smart to be doing that well this early! Ella is almost to that point. She gets more frustrated, though, when she comes to a word she doesn't automatically know. Keegan just sounded out and went right along. I'll have to show this to her to give her some encouragment! ;)

I also wanted to let you know I read your SIL's post and I am praying for both of your families. I know how hard it is to have to so fully depend on God. I pray He'll give you answers soon and that He will reward you greatly for leaning on Him.

Go Keegan! That's just awesome.

You'll need to warn him about the author thing though...maybe after he's made his millions in something else? :)
